How to talk about Friends

One of the challenges that a learner of spoken English faces is making an effective start in English speaking. Many of you might be good in grammar or might have good vocabulary to boast but still you feel butterflies in your stomach when it comes to talking in English in real time. There are many reasons for the same but the most prominent one is lack of exposure.

The most important thing to understand is that it is your state & it’s the result of your past action & the fact is that you can’t do much about it. But what you can do is to take action now & change your current state. So, what you need to do is to get a partner & start talking in English. In case you don’t get a partner, be your own partner & start talking to self.

You can take any topic & start asking questions & your partner can answer the same. And, then comes the next challenge- how to answer these questions. There are different ways to answer these & different level of answers can be given. I have a good friend circle. Many of my friends are my close friends but Ramesh is my best friend. He is my classmate/neighbor/playmate. He is quite reliable & down-to-earth.

For me, friendship is the best relationship in the world. And my best friends are my lifelines. I have 4 best friends and now we are just like a family; there is hardly any day when we don’t talk or share our secrets with one other.

I have a limited friend circle as I am an introvert. I have a close friend & her name is Kajal; she is my colleague. Only because of her, office doesn’t seem like an office to me. We enjoy working together. We help each other in our work and we are the best performers in our office.

There are different ways of learning English. Most of the learners of spoken English start learning English speaking in complex ways & often get lost. There is a very easy & fool-proof method of making an easy yet effective start in English speaking & that is by asking questions & giving answers in English. A learner of spoken English can start with simple sentence structures & can go to longer ones. It is important that learner practices these while learning these answers.
